Promoting a fair and accountable educational environment
A Grievance Redressal Committee is formed at institutions to promote and maintain a conducive and unprejudiced educational environment. It is a measure to develop a responsive and accountable attitude in the Institute and ensure that there is no laxity in terms of fair-deal with the students and others.
In our school this committee is run in two ways:
The student grievance committee of school is formed to address complaints and grievances of the students of the school. The committee looks into the complaint lodged by any student and judge its merit. The committee is also empowered to look into matters of harassment.
The teaching and non-teaching staff can register their grievance at the school level. If not satisfied with the decision, they can appeal to the Block, District, and State levels.
The grievance should be addressed within 30 days at each level. If not resolved, it can be escalated to the next level. The final decision rests with the State Level Committee.
